Coltie is hosting Ask Me Anything sessions on Nov 7th, from 10:00-11:00 AM Eastern Time (US). A panel of U.S. faculty and current graduate students from STEM fields will answer questions about graduate school, including admissions, securing funding and selecting a research advisor.
Each session will kick off with faculty discussing their specific school and program and describing what they look for in a graduate student. They will also discuss the typical time taken for their students to graduate, job opportunities, and expectations.
Some discussion questions will include:
What are common mistakes that applicants make on their graduate school applications?
What advice would you give to students who are applying for graduate assistantships?
What questions should you be asking when you talk with faculty and current graduate students?
What are some of the challenges and rewards of being a graduate student?
Participation is free. You are encouraged to create an account on the Coltie app to take advantage of graduate advisor matching.
